Tickets for Jester King/Dunham event at Stillwell?

Post by bandarker » Wed Aug 26, 2015 8:42 pm

If anyone has an extra 1 or 2, I'd love to go!

Also, if anyone can suggest some cool breweries in Belgium for lambics, I'd love to hear. I'm tagging a day on in the Brussels area after a work trip

There are a couple people looking for those tickets, so no shortage of takers for others.

Brussels... Cantillon. Morder Lambic. 3 Fonteinen. In de Verzekering tegen de Grote Dorst (if you're there on a Sunday).

Cantillon is the only actual lambic brewery in Brussels - all the rest are on the outskirts and I strongly recommend you travel by car to see them. Also, watch the hours - they can be quite random! If you look at Horal, I believe every lambic brewer except Cantillon are members. The Lambiek museum is also great - just outside Beersel, which is the town where Oud Beersel and 3 Fonteinen are. Not lambic - but I suggest you check out Brasserie de la Senne as well - they are in the city and are great.

I also went to Moeder Lambic on my trip and it was great - watch out for expensive bottles of Cantillon that you can try at the brewery for 1/3 the price though!

Tickets sold out quickly for the early tasting session, but we'll be drinking the leftovers all night, so swing through later on and I'm sure you can get your hands on some great beers. Details here: https://www.facebook.com/events/1593213474275711/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

(And +1 for Moeder. Two locations, both are great and pretty different.)

Ha ha, that's the spirit! I think some beers will sell out quickly, but we've got a pretty good amount of several of them (only 2 cases of Atrial, but four cases of Petit Prince, and lots of back-up draught). I personally plan to work my way through a good pour of each and every one of 'em, which could take a while ;)
