Do I have to split my water additions?
I use a grainfather, so my mash recircs and then I lift out the mash basket and sparge into the same vessel that I was just mashing in - do I have to split my mineral additions between mash + sparge or would I get basically the same effect by just adding all my salts to the mash? I know I don't want to wait for the boil to add them since calcium helps conversion.

Mine are split between mash and sparge (when I do 3 vessel brews)MitchK wrote:I use a grainfather, so my mash recircs and then I lift out the mash basket and sparge into the same vessel that I was just mashing in - do I have to split my mineral additions between mash + sparge or would I get basically the same effect by just adding all my salts to the mash?
