About to bottle our first batch. Bottles are pretty clean already - planned to use Star San to sterilize.
Someone mentioned that you can sterilize bottles in the oven - I think it may be in Palmers book - anyone do that here?

Now I only bottle for comps. I buy new bottles from noble and wash them there. Then a dip and shake in star San just before I bottle.

Re: Sterilizing bottles
My process is the same as Justin. Clean with PBW, Oxyclean or similar product. Then drop them in a bucket of Star San for a few minutes, then haul them out and bottle. No need to rinse.

Re: Sterilizing bottles
I always rinse bottles thoroughly after drinking and store them. Generally don't need and oxiclean when it comes time to use. Quick rinse of water, into some star san for a minute or two and on to a drying tree. I only use the tree because I can only fit about 8 bottles at a time into my bucket of sanitizer
On tap: Hopped Mead, ESB, Schwazbier
Coming up: Altbier
Fermenting: Maibock
Planned: NEIPA, NZ Pils, Oyster Stout
