Keg lid issues?

Post by brayson » Fri Mar 10, 2017 10:09 pm

Hey everyone!
Is there a trick to fixing a leaking lid?
I just bought 2 of these, and this one has an audible has leak from the relief valve.

put the key ring vertical in the slot and turn to the right to tighten it. If it doesn't tighten and it keeps leaking, unscrew it by turning to the left and check the seal for crap/damage. If you don't see anything obvious try some keg lube. It is really sticky stuff if you get it wet so keep it dry while working with it and keep paper towel handy to wipe off excess. If that doesn't fix it go to the homebrew shop and get a new one. Dave at everwood usually has them in stock.

You can buy keg lid relief valves.

Keg lube did the trick! I greased up those lid o-rings, and smeared some on the pressure relief opening.
After 2 days, the gas gauge has not moved! Thanks!
Not sure why I had never thought to pick some up before.
