So my first brew has been aged a bit and tastes pretty good, my non beer drinking friends seem to quite enjoy it, figured id post a picture so people can tell me if it looks good, cuz it smells and tastes pretty good, and it was from a NG best beer kit where you steep the grains.. whats ya think?

Sounds like the beer has "drinkability," and looks good.

You'll find very little "rating" of beers from us. If you like it that's all that matters. That being said we have wonderful human resources to help improve your beer if that's your desire. It looks good to me as well.

"Fill with mingled cream and amber,
I will drain that glass again.
Such hilarious visions clamber
Through the chamber of my brain -
Quaintest thoughts - queerist fancies
Come to life and fade away;
What care I how time advances?
I am drinking ale today." ~ Poe

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by critical palate, but I've used the following rating system over my extensive amateur beer tasting career:

5 - Amazing (Best)
4 - Awesome
3 - Pretty Good
2 - Good
1 - Not Good But I'll Drink it Anyway
0 - Are you sure this isn't urine?
