Just getting ready to mash in a Helles.

Just tried one that I had bottle conditioning... man it's fantastic.
I would say the winter beer Corneliusalphonse gave me is ready now. Going to have that one Christmas eve.

That's long enough. I'm going to try one today when I settle in for the night.

I just picked up ingredients for an ESB. http://hopville.com/recipe/1670312 (modified from the recipe posted by Mr. X last year... thanks!)
The plan is to make a stout the day I transfer to secondary and use the yeast cake for the stout.

I just got to a boil, added the hops, and ran out of propane. So tomorrow I'm driving to Costco during a storm, and my beer is wrapped in blankets until then. My yeast starter isn't even close to ready yet either, so it hasn't been a successful brew day.

Thanks anyway, but I don't even have yeast ready yet. Tomorrow I'll get it straightened out. Tonight I'm drinking.
