Looks good. Don't sweat the numbers too hard on your first brew. Takes time to dial it in.

Ended up with an OG of 1.065
And no, I didn't leave it by the door. It was just sitting there while I cleaned up.

That just makes it hoppierJimmy wrote:Ended up with an OG of 1.065

"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

I know it's the wrong season for it, but I am making a blood orange white beer. Never tried it before so I hope its good. Also making a batch of California Steam from NG, in case the white turns out poorly.

Re: What's everyone making this weekend?
Wrong season? The blood oranges are only fresh when they're fresh! It'd be a great summer beer, but also harder to make then (or at least a lot more expensive). I made one a couple years ago and it turned out pretty good.dexter wrote:I know it's the wrong season for it, but I am making a blood orange white beer. Never tried it before so I hope its good.
