Brew storm as of late... Robust Vanilla Porter, Hefe, back to back. If only I were brewing 10g at a time.

Just pitched a cake into a Schwarzbier. Yummy, and drinking some left overs from kegging my last one a few weeks ago. Not even lagered
and it tastes so good it may not last to get lagered.

I brewed a simple brown ale last fall that was pretty tasty, adapted it from a recipe on HBT:

9 lb 2 row
1 lb crystal 60
1 lb flaked oats
1 lb biscuit malt
1/4 lb chocolate malt
1oz Fuggles 60 min
1oz EKG 15 min
Nottingham

Would like to pitch 1028 in this one to see how it turns out.

Waiting on a new single burner, but through together a festa Pale using saved IPA batch yeast that will get dry hopped with Zythos in the secondary.

First all grain batch this afternoon of a pretty simple Pale Ale. Somehow managed to hit 78% efficiency despite using a bucket and mesh bag combo for a mash tun. Really looking forward to getting a proper mash tun setup so get clearer wort going into the kettle.

Geared up and ready to roll on X's Oatmeal Stout tomorrow. We'll see how the newly modified setup works. My dad is making stock with the sieve I normally use to contain the hops, so I may need an emergency backup plan in the morning. I'll post pics tomorrow.
Brewing right now: whatever is going on tap at Stillwell in a few weeks.

Today or tomorrow I'll be brewing a simple pale ale, using left over hops from an IPA I did a couple weeks ago and the yeast from an ESB I kegged earlier this week. It will be my most cost effective brew to date, all grain stove top BIAB.

Well, my brew went better than expected. A few pictures to come later, but I only had one (small) boilover (it didn't even douse the flame!) and a few relatively minor other issues. This will be the last brew I do without a proper chiller though - the chilling was painful and wouldn't drop below 80 degrees for ages and a fair bit of evaporation occurred during the 1.5 hour cooling. :spilly:

brewed up an Ipa today
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

Mashed in on a Firestone Walkers's Reserve clone on my lunch break. I'll be finishing this baby up later on this evening.

Brave (stupid?) man, Jimmy!
I went outside to start the gf's car, and that was enough of the outdoors for me today.
At least you can hover around the burners to stay warm.
