Yeah I'd be up for that for sure. Just let me know when works for you and I'll stop by.

Great, I was planning on brewing on Monday so that would be awesome. I have some new Mason jars so I can give you a new one to replace yours. Let me know a time that works for you and I can stop by and pick it up.

I'll sanitize (precaution only) in the am and split. We are hosting dinner tomorrow so I'll be home all day. Really only time I'm not available is between 4pm-7pm.

Hi Keith, if you'll be at hoptoberfest I can get it from you there. If not, just let me know when is good to pop by.

Unsure if I'll be able to attend. Just one of those weeks. Playing it by ear at this point.

How long is yeast good for after it's split up? I bought a brick of us-05 and split it up into 11 new small 125ml mason jars tonight(about 45-46 grams each). I washed the mason jars and sanitized the jars and lids in the oven for 20 minutes then vacuum sealed the jars. I only poured the yeast from the original package into the sterilized jars, nothing else touched it.

How long will these jars of yeast last? I assume I should keep these in the freezer?

Keep in the freezer. They last a very k9ng time. Been buying full bricks for a few years.

I buy full bricks of US-05 and split it in 2 vacuum sealed bags once it's been opened.

1 bag stays sealed until the 1st bag is finished. Make the bag extra long so that you can keep re-sealing it as you use the yeast.

Air is your enemy. You vacuumed sealed them so they are good to go. I'd date whatever the best before date was on your brick and your laughing. I do what Jimmy does with bags and vacuum seal after each use and no issues. :headbang: :cheers2:

Perfect, thanks for the replies. I think what I have done should be good then since I basically have 10 single use vacuum sealed bottles now.
