Sourcing a 30A/240V GFCI circuit breaker

Post by Yeastcoaster » Fri Jul 07, 2017 12:07 am

So, I have a kettle, I have a 4500W element, and I'm waiting on my PID for controlling my heat. I need to get a circuit breaker installed on my panel, and was wondering if any other electric brewers have found a cheap line on GFCI Cbs.

I have a Siemens panel if that helps the hunt.

I didn't have much luck. Had to buy new 30A from spa panel place in Ontario. Came to $150 after tax and shipping.

I went to HD a few years ago and my GFCI was $383.00 for my panel, Federal Pioneer. No sale.

Check online for a panel. I think I paid 130 for my 50 amp spa panel and 70 for my breaker at home depot. Assume you have stablock breakers?

i bought a spa panel with 50A gfca breaker for 60$ in the states a few years ago, but you may not be willing to go down that route (dunno about whether it would be up to standards in Canada, etc)
planning: beer for my cousin's wedding
Fermenting: black ipa
Conditioning:
Kegged: barrel barleywine from 2014 - i think i still have this somewhere

I ordered mine from Amazon.com. At the time they were shipping to Canada, doesn't look like it now.
