I had a great double oatmeal stout at hortons ridge malt house in the valley over the summer... would love to recreate it if I could... any recipe ideas? (All grain 5gal) and go!

Jamil's stuff is usually a good place to start. Throw in a handful of smoked malt and you should be in a decent place. I haven't used smoked malt, but my understanding is a little goes a very long way.

Another idea might be to try adding a small amount of a very peaty scotch to a regular recipe at kegging/bottling. Most of the commercially available smoked malts use wood smoke, and the peat note of scotch might not quite be what you're looking for, but the advantage would be that you could blend to taste.
