Bottling with 4 volumes of co2

Post by oceanic_brew » Sun Oct 01, 2017 1:49 pm

I'm getting ready to bottle westy 12 clone today and realized I am low on small high pressure bottles. I have a bunch of the Belgian bottles that take a cork but I believe the cork is different than a regular wine cork. I have enough wine corks around to get the job done along with a nice floor corker but I'm concerned about these corks doing the job.

Anyone have any experience or possibly want to trade some of my regular bottles for high pressure ones.?

These are the corked Belgians I have that I'm looking to cork today.

Also does anyone know of those long neck la Trou du diable bottles are high pressure. I have a bunch and the beer definitely seems highly carbonated.

Found this. Doesn't seem like these Belgian corked bottles are all that usable without the right gear.

How many do you need? I could hook you up with a few.

I need 30! But I'll take whatever you can give. Gotta clean out the fermenters to get ready for the beer comps.

I can trade for other bottles I have if you'd like.
