Cheap element enclosure?

Just found these. Seem like a very economical way to go electric. Need a lock nut and an o-ring, but those are super cheap. $57 for a stainless element and enclosure.

Anyone see a reason why these would be a bad idea (on the American site people seem to be using them with success for brewing).

I personally love the Hotrod heatstick. Ease of moving between vessels and cleaning. They are a touch more but much more versatile.

One review said the enclosure is plastic, do not buy. I have never seen any made of plastic.

I ended up ordering elements that have a twist-lock built into them. Seemed like a good option that didn't require a large box hanging off my kettle and HLT:

Yeah, I am not sure what they were talking about being plastic. The enclosure is stainless. They must have meant some other aspect, but the melting suggests to be they did something seriously wrong. Other people see quite happy with them: https://www.amazon.com/Dernord-Ripple-H ... B01M0PBSHX

Enclosure and element arrived. It's surprisingly robust, and all stainless.

I have a Dernord element. No issues thus far.
