I’ve thought about trying my hand at a California Common sometime soon, almost seems like an East meets West style. Sounds tasty!McGruff wrote:Just mashed in a California Common. 2 row, C 40, Choc malt, German NB hops and WLP810.

Re: What's everyone brewing?
First time using WLP810. Starter had a real strong aroma of sulphur. Hope that is normal. I don't smell sulphur when I open the ferm chamber though.

I propped up a framgarden kveik sample I was mailed from a guy in the US so I'll be testing that in a few different recipes as soon as I get off my ass and start brewing pilot batches again.

Currently brewing a Dead Ringer IPA, based on a recipe I found on the Northern Brewer website. Centennial hops are my favorite and they smell amazing!!

I'm brewing my first kit this Sunday. Mountmellick Irish Style Dublin Stout. Since it's my first I decide to do an easy Home Brew Kit so I can get used to the process and equipment

Re: What's everyone brewing?
Finally got around to use some malts from the recent group buy.
An APA.
Threw some cookie malt in there to check it out.
It sure is nice to be able to use the garden hose again.

Re: What's everyone brewing?
I'm brewing an APA this weekend. It's basically an all-grain version of the West Coast APA recipe they sell at the Noble-Grape. This was the recipe I brewed my first all-grain with and I keep coming back to it.
This time I'm using 60/40 Canadian 2-row/Marris-otter for the base malt to use up what's left of my marris-otter. It should come out darker this time which will be nice.

Woody and I are brewing a sour brown tonight. Bit of an experimental batch...souring 5 gal of the 12 gal batch, then blending to taste and aging on fruit.
