Just a basic BIAB setup that I got months ago, so not really that new time-wise. But this was only my fourth brew on it.

I was just curious if you'd used the move as an excuse to join the grainfather club. Still doing 2.5/3 gallon batches or are you up to a full 5?
I had wanted to join the grainfather club but I was short on cash. Just doing 3 gallon batches - much easier to handle on the stovetop.MitchK wrote:I was just curious if you'd used the move as an excuse to join the grainfather club. Still doing 2.5/3 gallon batches or are you up to a full 5?
What do you use for fermenters at 3 gallon? I've been looking at doing some smaller batches myself (have the micro pipework for the grainfather now) but I'm not finding any fermenter options I like.
I'm doing it again right now. Seems to be progressing a bit slower this time.amartin wrote:I've used it too, I'll be doing it again.
I use glass carboys because I am paranoid about plastic with all of the different bugs I like - I start off in a 5 or 6 gallon carboy for plenty of headspace during active fermentation and transfer to a snug-fitting 3 gallon carboy if I am aging long-term.
Wow and I thought the 6 months it's been for me was a whilejeffsmith wrote:Brewed for the first time in nearly 2 years today. Did 15 gallons of New England IPA.
