hop flops
I planted seven hop rhizomes this spring from our Meander River order. Two grew well (although they didn't produce any hops, which was not surprising for the first year), two grew a bit and then died, and three did nothing. Should I leave either of the latter two groups for another year and give them another chance or should I just replace them?

Re: hop flops
I would be surprised if the ones that didn't come up this year do anything next year, but what does it hurt to leave them where they are until next spring. If you don't see anything by Victoria Day, they're probably toast.
