Compression fittings - but where?

Post by macdonaldtomw » Mon Nov 07, 2011 10:55 pm

Thinking of finally finishing my keggle conversion, and am wondering if there are any cheap and reputable places around HRM to grab the spigot and compression fittings required?

I'm thinking that a 1/2" stainless steel spigot would fit the bill.

I have some of that stuff lying around the basement. What is the exact piece/pieces you require?

well, i was thinking of converting a keg that I already have the top cut off of. I'm thinking a 1/2" stainless or brass compression fitting with stainless or brass spigot, dip tube, and false bottom.

what pieces do you have? perhaps an equipment for homebrew trade is in order!

Yeah, give me the exact specifics of the pieces you need, ie, 1/2" tube x 1/2" npt male, etc....

hey, well i guess i'll take whatever i can get. since i only have the keg at the moment, I'm game for whatever you're willing to part with.

The instructions I was going to follow call for the following:

-1/2" Male NPT x 3/8" compression coupling with 3/8" compression nut and
SEPARATE ferrule (not the Home Depot kind with unremoveable ferrule
-Stainless washer that fits tightly over the 3/8" compression threads on the
coupling
-No.10 rubber o-ring (found in the faucet repair section) (buy a few extra
they are cheap)
-1/2" brass ball valve, 1/2" female NPT ends (non-vented type)
-1/2" MALE NPT x 3/8" ID hose barb fitting
