In a pinch, bags of grain make a pretty good bed. You may need them!

No, but we sold the fridge & stove that came with the new house and was given permission to use the money to buy a march pump. It should be here by the end of the week.

I couldn't help noticing quite a few gifts under your tree that were in tall, narrow boxes about the size of bottles.

60' of 1/2" flexible copper tubing for a new Immersion Chiller. Can't wait to get home to start working with it.

Propeller IPA shirt, north American clone brews and a subscription to how to brew.
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

I got a siphon starter, after the wife witnessed me getting a mouthful of bleach from a mouth siphon a couple months ago.

That's a great strategy for getting approval for purchases. Noted.
Brewing right now: whatever is going on tap at Stillwell in a few weeks.

Bird-Stairs in Fredericton. They have a store in Halifax that may have some.

I also got this nice book. It's quite like the Extreme Brewing book about Dogfish Head.

I got "Yeast, The Practical Guide to Beer Fermentation" by Chris White and Jamil Zainasheff. I've already read the first three chapters. There is lots of good information so far.

The yeast book was on my list too, but I don't think one can get it locally.

I picked up a copy in Bangor in the summer. If someone wants to borrow it, I'll lend it out.
