No, that's the first I've heard of it. It must have been Phyl liking something.

Hammerhead is still active. The website is down for a bit but you can still check out the eBay store to see what we have in stock at the moment.

I don’t see Hammerhead on my Instagram anymore, just D25 so I figured it was a name change.

Same. Looking at the posts, that account was Hammerhead.

Damn it. I have been dormant for a while and wanted to get some grain. Everwood will be missed. They were very patient with me when I was starting out and I always appreciated that.

Try MW&B. They have some stuff but ask and you may get it ordered in.

Which Noble Grape? I've always gotten fantastic service at the one in Burnside.

I've always had a great experience at Burnside NG. I know what I want, order yeast in advance and I am in and out in 5 minutes. I normally have 2 people helping me. i.e. grabbing me a bag of grain or swapping out CO2. Prior to Everwood closing it was always a 45 min wait there and I could only go when I was in the city alone. My wife refused to go to Everwood with me due to the many extended waits. Without them we are definitely in a place where we need to plan 5-6 beer a head. We can get what we need via other shops, yeast, hop and grain group buys.

While I will miss everwood for various reasons this is my exact experience as well. During the lockdown at NG burnside it took 2-3days to get my orders ready but it was extremely efficient when I went to pickup. It’s also a lot faster to grab things they stock and swap co2.

Lots going on behind the scenes, obviously. Shitty that it meant the end for Everwood.

I figured it was probably best to not bring up since well, the fact it was likely going to court and it's not really my place to say out of respect to Dave. It's unfortunate it fell apart how it did, but I think it was probably bound to happen. On paper having businesses like that brought together seems that they would be mutually beneficial to one another, but actually ended up being in conflict once money became a problem and resulted in two owners with separate personal projects taking advantage of their mutually owned assets.

Hope he's able to pull through with the suit, I really can't say anything nice about his former business partner.

Yup I miss popping in weekly and just chatting with Geoff and grabbing what I need. Know a bit of the back story I can see it wasn't really Dave's fault at all and was just a pressure cooker waiting to explode. Hope it all works out in the end for him. I wish another homebrew store would pop up around here, but I do not think its viable in this economy right now.

I have been a long time customer and had a $100 store credit with him. I contacted Dave to understand what happened and learned that he closed the business in april2020 but interestingly the brewery consulting business is still online. I asked about my store shop credit and if he can either pay it out or send me some brewing supplies. Dave is now ignoring me and not responding to my emails at all..... this is very poor
