I've just placed an order for 2 all grain clone kits from Eastcoasthoppers.
Was $22 shipping (Canada post-Expidited) from PEI. (I'm in Dartmouth)
NG in Burnside is great but there is about 5 days right now for curbside and have limited hops varieties.

I'll be curious to see how long it takes to get here.
Thanks for the order! Tracking indicates it was delivered the day after you posted this. Hope everything is to your satisfaction!

Cheers

Perhaps I’m a jerk saying this but I find it kind of disappointing how Everwood's Facebook and website was just abandoned without any kind of update and now there’s a new business popped up. Always had good dealings with Dave but this seems a bit poor to me.

I feel the same way. I remember when Dave first started and the loyalty the community had for him . We received Cadillac service but that's changed. A quick update or message to his loyal customers would have made all the difference and he would have received a mountain of patience/understanding.

Not at all. They disappeared and owe people money/product. You're definitely not the jerk here.

Agree with everyone here. Just really disappointed how there have been crickets for over a month now.

As ConanTroutman eluded to, the consulting business has been around for a few years but this is the first I've seen a website/FB page for it.

I wouldn't be so quick to judge. I don't have any personal insight to share about the Everwood situation but based on my understanding of business and law I can speculate that Dave may be legally prohibited from talking to anyone about the business at the moment. Give it some time and maybe the situation will become more clear to us.

I think this is a likely scenario. All my dealings with Dave over the years have been excellent.

It’s some sort of dispute he’s trying to work out. It’s my understanding he is planning to be back,

I've been a customer of Dave's since he was working out of his garage (before he was working out of his basement) as I'm sure others here have been. He's built up a mountain of goodwill from me and while I too am frustrated at the complete lack of communication I am more than willing to be patient. He's more than earned it multiple times over. My fingers are firmly crossed...

I have been told by a person at the local beer/wine supply shop that he will be reopening but only selling to breweries.

I see that Everwood has changed to Gillett Brewery Consultants in the venders section on the forum as well.

Is their closing because of covid 19, or they haven't been making any money for awhile?

I heard the home brew part of the business was doing well but an investor had different ideas on money allocation. Piecing together the big sale they had before Covid, Going out of business sale???? Brewnoser 10% Discount was no longer valid in March and now the website is down and everyone's has disappeared. Reminds me of a bad break up. :silent:

Any updates? It's not like Dave to leave us hanging like this.

I believe he’s done. There was a Gillette Brewing consulting announced on Facebook, but I believe that may have closed/never got off the ground. After burning bridges with his target audience, I’m not terribly surprised.

I can confirm that Everwood has been permanently closed and that the stores inventory has been liquidated.

I’ve been going to NG for most things, and East Coast Hoppers for any specialty equipment. D25 (formerly Hammerhead, or just Kyle to a lot of us) is good for hops.

I've had really good experience so far with Shortfinger which is in Kitchener, I'll probably try ECH at some point if I have a list of things I can get through them. Noble is still more of a last resort if I'm in a bind or if it's something small, but for those things I usually go to Maritime.

I've been doing a combo of East Coast Hoppers and Noble Grape, and Maritime Wine and Beer for other small, last minute items.
