Hi All,

Have a question for more seasoned home brewers.

If I have a beer recipe that has say 100g of crystal 60.

If I want the beer lighter… is it better to use less of the crystal 60 or the same amount of crystal 30?

No real wrong answer! Both will yield a lighter beer, but whether it's better or not is up to you.

Is there one option of the two that will retain the most similar flavour? I feel like less of the darker grain will be closer to flavour of the original.
