Noble Grape versus Brew HQ

I called my nearest Noble Grape looking for a Grainfather part listed on the N.G. website. The person who answered had a negative attitude and claimed they don't sell things like that despite it being on their web site. I'm not in a hurry and don't care to go all the way to Burnside so I asked if she could order it to have it delivered to that store. She discouraged me from doing that and suggested I call the so-called 'Bayer's Lake' store instead.

The guy who answered at the 'Bayer's Lake' store responded with "a grain what?", I explained what it was, he then insisted I have to get that from Brew HQ, I then told him it's on the NG web site, and finally he agreed to order it. At first he tried to order a Grainfather for me but eventually he seemed to understand the part I wanted.

My conclusion was that the beer brewing knowledge at Noble Grape seems to have further deteriorated since the advent of Brew HQ.

Yep.

I ask for brewing stuff every time I walk by Robie St.

Deana and Sue know me and they can't help.

Pester and hope for store delivery.

What are you looking for, I have some stuff.

I think pretty much all the beer focused staff left NG and went over to BrewHQ. Which is nice that we have a brewing centric retail centre again. But, like Everwood, location isn't the most convenient

They still have lots of great people at NG, but they definitely focused the knowledge at BrewHQ. I love having BrewHQ around and sometimes still stop by the NG locations.

You may have been able to call the BrewHQ and they could arrange stuff being sent over.
