According to Facebook Garrison had 29 entries. Also the awards ceremony has apparently been moved to Sunday, March 13th from the 17th. Guess someone checked the calender.

Hmm, that opens things up, now. Will you let us know the details when you've got them, whisle pig?

I see from their Facebook site that they were looking for a 3rd BJCP judge. I guess it may not be all the usual suspects this year?

I think the 13th will be a little less messy for everyone X) Does anyone know if the yeast Scott is using on the facebook pics is wb-06?
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

Just got an email saying the Brew off is now back to March 17th. Garrison seems to be right on top of things

I was over to Noble Grape today to grab some stuff. I see that they got some Carafa III Special in a few weeks ago. Just in time for the Schwarbier Brew-Off.

From Garrison's FB page:
Scott Tilford's winning witbier is almost ready, in all it's partly-filtered glory. If you were here, you would smell clove, banana, coriander ... wow! Can't wait to unveil it on March 17!
Pretty sure there's not supposed to be banana in a witbier, that's a hefeweisen. And they also noted previously they did NOT use any orange peel in it.

Sounds like they are staying as true to the original recipe as Keith's does to theirs.

Kind of, Chalmers and I helped brew 2 of the final 4. And now we will proceed to help drink them :cheers3:

Damn you and your magical basement  ! You need to talk Jimmy Melvin into bankrolling a brewery out that way.

It's true wortly, both were fermented in the "magical basement" :D
