Since I broke my good flask, I had to make due. This actually seems to work really well.

That's what I use all the time (minus the stir plate).

If Jimmy reads this, please fix that typo in the title line.

I poured hot wort into it to make sure it was sterile. Seems to hold up, so long as you preheat the glass, and let it cool naturally for a bit.

I am trying to figure out why you guys don't have permission to edit your own posts, I have the option selected but it doesn't work

If you edit your first post in the topic, and change the "Subject" (just above where you type your post)... it should also change the topic's title.
