Oops!

I kind of did the same thing last weekend. I added my 33l of water, brought it up to 156*, then realized my false bottom wasn't in...had to drain it all and start over :pow: Just glad I hadn't mashed in yet!

That would be a nightmare Jimmy.

One time while stiring my mash my manifold came apart and I had to scoop it all into a pot to fix it. That sucked.

My hose braid has let loose at least 3 times. It sucks to scoop it all into pot, but I ended up with high efficiencies on the last two.

And two sets of burnt hands on the third one.

I can't remember if it effected my efficiency, but if I'm remembering correctly I put the pot I scooped it into on a burner to keep it from cooling too much and I think it ended up boiling so I got this half-assed unintentional decoction.

We had a mini blizzard at the end of January, nothing major but I thought it would be a good idea to bring my kegging system outside and fire up the weber and do some chillin and grilling.

It was fun until I tipped over the CO2 bottle and broke both gauges. I just got my CO2 system running again this weekend.

Oof. I've broken 2 of the tank gauges, pretty sure that's why my system leaks - can't find any other culprits. I go through a tank every other month (5#) regardless of what I drink. (Usually 3/4 keg/month)
Brewing right now: whatever is going on tap at Stillwell in a few weeks.

We left the false bottom out once so I feel your pain! If memory serves, it was about a 4 hour mash out... sitting there with a skewer, jamming it in every time it would get stuck with grain.
