Corney Keg Cleaning / Sanitizing

Post by LeafMan66_67 » Mon Mar 26, 2012 9:29 pm

I've always used Aseptox for cleaning / sanitizing my bottles. Does anyone know if it can be used to clean / sanitize corney kegs as well?

So far I just use hot water (160F) and some oxyClean, soak for a day (flipping them every 6 hours or so), then rinse with cold water and flush with CO2. From what I've read acids are better than bases for cleaning SS since it doesn't eat the protective layer, but I have yet to see any problems (knock on wood).
