Brewnosers Lids Hats - Post here if you want in

Post by Jimmy » Sun Apr 15, 2012 9:14 pm

Who wants in?

Now that the other clothing buy is wrapping up, I'd like to get this going...

-Logo can be used at any Lids location. Once in the system, they can email it to whatever store you want to have the work done at
-Any blank hat can be embroidered. Ball hats, toques, visored beanies, military style, etc.
-13 or more hats embroidered = free embroidery...lets try and hit that #
-36 or more hats embroidered = free digitizing of the logo (a one time $50 fee)

Post here if you want in on the Lids hats, and we can split the cost of getting it set up.

Count me in.
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

all depends on the hat you pick

The blank standard Flexfit hats start around $19 if memory serves.

This is something separate. Jimmy and I first talked about this because we both prefer the fit of the Flexfit brand hats. It's all I buy because I have a hard time finding hats deep enough for my head.

Any progress on this? Do the 13 or more hats need to be ordered at one time to get the free embroidery? I'm thinking about Jeff and others who won't be in the shop with you. UNLESS, people can go to their local Lids location and pick out the hat design/size they want, and pass it along to you.

Lots of options for folks, including several Flexfits: http://www.lids.ca/Blanks" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

We're going to have to hold off on this for a little bit until I can put a simplified version of the logo together for embroidery purposes. Hoping to have it taken care of by the end of the week.

I stopped in the other day and it's looking like we will each probably have to pay the embroidery fee, unless we get 12 or more done at once, and at 1 location...The guy at the Lids at Halifax Shopping Center told me he would give me the converted file for use at any store. I asked about adjustments to the logo if it doesn't look right after being converted, and he said he would do 1 hat first, to see how it turns out.

Alright fellas. I went in to get the logo done tonight, and I will have it in a few days. Cost to digitize was 57.50.

I'm getting a demo hat when I get the finished logo. After that, we can work out payment and I will send the file out. ...the file can then be taken to any Lids store to be embroidered.

Word. Good work on the logo Jeff. Later on tonight I'll get tally of everyone looking to get a hat and we can split the cost of digitization.
