Hey gang,
My keggle is almost together, thing is I didn't buy a step-drill bit for the job, and wondering if anyone here has bought one for the job drilling through the stainless steel keg.
I believe the hole has to be 7/8" diameter, and if anyone can lend me one that would be more than helpfull.

Check with princess auto, they normally have cheap tools.

IIRC, a 3/4" hole saw with a touch of filing works great too..

ok maybe I'll do that, I'd go to Princess Auto if I had a car, but I think the CTC 3piece step-bit set has 3/4" included!!

FYI the el-cheapo PA set is too small and the big ones are not cheap. I marked my hole, drilled a bunch of small holes around the inside of the perimeter erring on the safe side and ground it down with the dremel and a pencil file. With some patience I got it just right so that the fitting actually threads into the hole and is secured with gaskets and lock nut.

If you are still stuck by next weekend (28th) I can probably help you out.

Shame you're not closer to Amherst, I've got a step bit in my tool box that would take care of that for you in no time.
