It has been an eye-opening experience this week in Eastern Scotland. Everyone tending bar in NS should take a clinic over here to learn how to properly fill a glass.

The image is a grainy cell pic, but this is me enjoying a Harviestoun bitter & twisted on cask. I finished that and a Deuchars before scoffing down an Arbroath smokie covered in bechamel sauce.

I have been living on Deuchars IPA and belhaven st. andrew's for the whole week. New appreciation for cask ales.

Sounds and looks like a great time! Would love to make it to Scotland someday.

Are you taking requests? Any room in your suitcase for a bottle of Sink the Bismarck and/or a pint glass from BrewDog?

No promises, but I will see what I can do.

While it's a fine beer, my recollection is that anybody who could call that "bitter and twisted" needs to meet Nash !

No luck on the Bismark. I saw pretty much everything else by brewdog, but no Bismark. I'll have to schedule in a trip to the brewery on my next visit.

I did however get to try a brewdog red ale on cask - fantastic.

Hit quite a few cask marque pubs in Edinburgh on the way out. Ossian by Inveralmond was one of the more outstanding pints that I had.

Thanks for looking. Ever since having a taster of it at Philly Beer Week, poured by the Head Penguin himself, I've been wanting more!
