So the other day I was wondering if anyone has seen/heard of a keggle being converted to a whiskey still. Maybe someone has experience building a still, and might have some insights.

I'm thinking one would need to build the tower portion and condenser, and rig up a temperature probe. All that would need to be mounted to the top of the keggle, and I would like to see it be temporary so it could be dual purpose still/beer

What does everyone think? Would there be any problems with using it for both?

I helped build an electric 58L kg Still with a 3" stainless interchangeable stack. One for distilling down any alcohol, and a thumper? for distilling sour mashes. I don't have a lot of knowledge of the distilling process, just helped with the machining and welding metal fab stuff. I'm supposed to do a barley corn mash sometime for them to distill. This keg could also be used as a boil kettle for beer as the hole is big enough. The stuff required to make this can get pretty expensive though.
