Sydney CO2 Fill???

Post by jason.loxton » Thu Aug 30, 2012 9:34 am

I am up in Cheticamp and will be making periodic trips to Sydney over the winter. Wondering if there's a place in Sydney to fill my tank. I norally use Breton's, but their pump was down this weekend (damn!). Any advice?

I get mine filled at East Coast Fire Extinguisher Systems (849-6641). It's in Glace Bay. About $40 for the fill. Just call and ask ahead of time if they are there to do it. They usually do it on the spot.
Currently At Brookland Brewing, Sydney, NS:
In Kegs: Four Seas IPA, Belgian Witbier
In Carboys: Ordinary Bitter (Bitter Bonnette)
Bottled:
Next Brew: California Lager.

I think there's a prax air in Sydney maybe give them a shout. I exchange tanks in newglascow prax air a little costly 50 -60 dollars for 20 pound tank. Don't have to worry about hydro test.

Has anyone found a place to fill tanks for around $20 in sydney yet?
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.
