Carbon monoxide detectors

I've got a couple of brews in primary fermenters and very late last night, my carbon monoxide detector went off. I stumbled downstairs and quickly realized that my house was not on fire so I shut the thing off and went back to bed--only to have it go off again in about 5 minutes. I unplugged the thing for the rest of the night and haven't had any issues since plugging it back in. Could fermentation have caused this?

Just as a test I just put my CO detector inside my small fermentation cabinet with a brew bubbling away. There's a lot of CO2 in there and the detector did not go off.
Be careful... you might want to get things checked out.
+1 to having one of those!

FYI - CO detectors have a set lifespan. The first type I had was supposed to be good for 10 years, but failed after 3 or 4 years (false alarms). The warranty replacedmebt has a 5 year life.
