I just placed an order for my Kegerator Kit from OBK, but I am a bit concerned the kegs and CO2 will not arrive by the weekend when I am ready to transfer my beer to to the keg. Does anyone have an extra keg and CO2 as a backup if my gear doesn't arrive? I purchased the used kegs from OBK, so if your used keg is in good shape we can just do a swap. I have never kegged beer before, but from the Youtube video, I am guessing, I will need to borrow your CO2 tank to get the keg setup and started.

This might not be neccessary and Canada Post MIGHT come through, but wanted to see if I have a plan B other than bottling.

I don't know. This is my first brew and I am just following the Festa Brew instructions and this weekend would be the 7-10 day after racking to secondary and it looks like the fermentation is slowing down. It is in an airlocked carboy. Can I leave it longer?

You can absolutely leave it longer with no ill effects to your beer. I routinely leave my beer in the primary (I don't use secondary fermenters) for 3-5 weeks without issue. Patrick's service is typically very quick, but if your gear doesn't arrive by the weekend, you'll be fine to wait until next week to keg it.

Thanks Sandy. I have already made the investment of a dual regulator, CO2, two perlick taps and two kegs. They are all on their way (Early Christmas for me!). Now that I have been told that my beer is going to be fine left in the carboy for longer than the 10 days, I should be fine. Thanks for the offer though.

Agreed. Their instructions are horrible.
