Nope. I'm almost certainly remembering threads and posts from the forum but the searches I've done so far haven't yielded much. I might be conflating it with the discussion of how to get esters from US-05. But I was sure there was some discussion somewhere about fermentation temperatures with Conan. The thread you started when you lost your fruity esters definitely had some interesting information about how generations affect that yeast.GuingesRock wrote:ps. do you remember what temperatures you read to ferment at for the esters with conan?

My new kegerator, the beer fridge died a few weeks ago....so I had to build this. Quite pleased with the build. I have a video of part 1 posted in the DIY. Part 2 will be uploaded tomorrow.

finally got my stir plate put together, granted it is a christmas present box, but it was cheap which was the whole object of this build, I think im in for less than $10, not counting the flask and stir bar

Re: Random brewing pics
This is the second running a of a Russian imperial stout brewed back in dec 2014. I reboiled the second runnings and added northern brewer hops and Flemish ale blend yeast. After a few months I pitched some honey into it. I sampled this today and it's still young but I think in a few years it will be really nice. Has that brett funk smell but rounded off with the dark malts gives it a cherry and dark fruit aroma. It is pleasantly smooth for its age.

Made a few flask type bottles for a couple buddies for Christmas. One full of jameson whiskey and the other full of plantation rum.

Yes sir...sprayed with a satin black plastic paint...and my buddy decaled them...I liked the bottles so I saved them.
Made a little jig to help hold them upside-down. ..just a block of wood with some dowels screwed on...slide them on and spray a few light coats...I took the hardware off first

I might have to steal that idea if I ever take the plunge into making the more illicit homebrew items... Or even for gift bottles of mead.

Re: Random brewing pics
Got an Everwood stirplate for Xmas from my in-laws. Finally trying to work up the Pacman yeast from a couple of Rogue beers. Might not work out (dregs have been in the fridge for a couple of months), but at worst all I've lost is 10g or so of DME.

Re: Random brewing pics
Brewed up a pale ale last night which used only Warrior hops. Typically this hop is only used for bittering but I was intrigued what flavours and aroma it gives with late boil and dry hop additions.

Re: Random brewing pics
seeing as you posted a Brett beer. Here is mine with Roselare Blend. The krausen is still up a week later. And it overflowed for 5 days straight. It's based on Jamils Flemish red recipe but without wheat.
