Man, where was this thread when I joined up a couple years ago!?

Head brewer, bottle washer, sanitation engineer, head R&D assistant at Antigonish Brewing Company, Antigonish NS

Where did you learn to brew?
On my own, and reading a ton of stuff online, watching YouTube videos, and any home brew books the library had in its system. The Brewnosers forums and Homebrewtalk have all been wonderful resources as well as great sources for feedback.

How did you start brewing?
Bought a kit during the summer of 2014 from the local home brew store for all of $100 (they threw in the first can for free), didn't end up brewing with it until 2015. Started with a Coopers IPA kit, then did a pumpkin beer with Cooper's wheat beer extract, moved on to Best case partial grain kits. Slowly working towards my goal of having my own all-grain electric set up.

How long have you been brewing?
+/- 3 years

Where else/with whom else have you brewed?
No one, other than my very understanding wife to assist me with bottling day.

What’s your favourite style to brew?
Ales, mostly as I don't have the set up for proper lagering, or any level of temperature control for that matter.

What’s your favourite beer to drink (other than your own)?
Too many to count. Big Spruce's Kitchen Party, or Half Cocked's offerings have been the recent additions to the favorite club.

Three words that describe your brewing style:
Take. Thorough. Notes.

If you were going to collaborate with another brewer, who would it be and why?
I'd love to collaborate with anyone, especially anyone with an electric all-grain set up, to see how their processes work and things to look out for. I'd also love to spend a day brewing with Sam Calagione and pick his brain about everything and anything, assuming none of the great NS brewmasters are available.

Where did you learn to brew?
Picked up a copy of John Palmer's "How To Brew" and read it pretty much cover-to-cover 2 or 3 times before I finally pulled the trigger. Found Dave @ Everwood and spent an evening with him talking about what I needed and how to use it. I can't thank him enough. Eventually found my way to Brewnosers and between that and a LOT of books, my abilities have been improving steadily ever since.

How did you start brewing?
Started in my kitchen with a basic setup from Everwood. With all of the reading and prep I did ahead of time, I also had a kegging system, immersion chiller, and a small chest freezer with temperature controller to act as a fermentation chamber. My first batch was an amber ale via extract and steeping grains. The wife got tired of me brewing in the kitchen after the first couple of batches, so I bought a propane burner and moved to the garage. Extract was fun, but I wanted to really get my hands dirty, so I moved to all grain for my third batch and I haven't looked back.

How long have you been brewing?
Since April 2014.

Where else/with whom else have you brewed?
Only with my daughter and friends, from time to time. I enjoy brewing on my own, but it's much better with others. I need to work on that...

What’s your favourite style to brew?
German lagers seem to be where I'm at most of the time. I like to have some sort of APA available at all times. I'll happily take a crack at brewing any style, really. But if I had to pick just one, German lager is it.

What’s your favourite beer to drink (other than your own)?
So many favourites. So many styles. It really depends on my mood on any particular day.

Three words that describe your brewing style:
Research, experiment, repeat.

If you were going to collaborate with another brewer, who would it be and why?
I think I'd like to brew with the Brathair guys. They know what they're doing and seem like they have an awful lot of fun while doing it.

How did you start brewing?
Making extract kits on the stove top. Did that for a year before moving to all grain. First all grain beer I made was also the first recipe I designed.

How long have you been brewing?
About 4 years

Where else/with whom else have you brewed?
With and at Aaron Miler's place

What’s your favourite style to brew?
I like playing around with yeasts, so mixed fermentations and all brett beers. I've also made a number of hefe and dunkel weizens

What’s your favourite beer to drink (other than your own)?
This is an impossible to answer question

Three words that describe your brewing style:
See what happens

Where did you learn to brew? Still learning technically but last year after I bought my robobrew from everwood.

How did you start brewing? I finally pulled the trigger after I entered into a Innis & Gunn contest where you tell them your idea for a beer to brew. I chose a W.I.P.A aged in a winter cider barrel. Didn't even get a response so I obviously lost so I decided to make my own too see what it would taste like. my W.I.P.A will be called White Juan lol.

How long have you been brewing? Just shy of a year now.

Where else/with whom else have you brewed? My friend Zack Harrison

What’s your favourite style to brew? Just learning the styles now but I cant wait until I learn to make sours then watch out lol.

What’s your favourite beer to drink (other than your own)? Anything from Trailway, Off Track, 2 Crows or any sour style beer.

Three words that describe your brewing style: 1.Newbie 2. Green 3. Learning

If you were going to collaborate with another brewer, who would it be and why? Professionally the guys from 2 Crows, Off Track and Greg Nash, because I enjoy all their beers and they all have a lot to teach me.
