For those with Keggles

Post by Jimmy » Thu Mar 31, 2011 9:52 pm

How far off the bottom of your keg does the pickup of your diptube sit? I am getting my keggles welded up and don't know if it should be touching the bottom, or slightly off the bottom but below the false bottom?

I am guessing the answer is slightly off the bottom, but below the false bottom but just wanted to confirm :spilly:

You're talking about the MLT? You want the end close to the bottom, but not touching, or it will plug to easy.
At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the absolute letter. :wtf:

You sir, are correct. So anywhere below the false bottom but not touching should be good?

I think 1 to 1.5 cm off the bottom would be ok.
