Beers on tap
So I'm taking a serious turn and catering my taps to my enjoyment. I've tried to cater to what ever one else likes, but well I'm the one drinking it, and if they don't like it, well there is the NSLC 2 mins down the road haha. I'll always have a lawn mower beer or wine on tap to appease the mrs, however I'm really thinking of filling Stanley with a hop monstrosity.
I'm no the best at planning recipes, however my brewing is improving, and my taste buds are screaming for more hops. I was hoping someone could lend me a hand with some recipes to get started. I love a variety, so would love a great bank of recipes to choose from as I'd get bored with the same beer all the time.
So far 2 recipes I have is the Stone Levitation Clone, the Pineapple IPA, and the directions to Bad Apple for a keg of APA!!!!
I'm thinking of the following. but not sure where to begin.
Hoppy Amber
American Pale Ale
IPA
DIPA

Re: Beers on tap
yea I look at that frequently. I'm all for some Nashed up recipes!!!
My love of hops are large, and love my hoppy beers, but Nash has the experience, and knowledge to produce some tasty brews. I'm hoping the Thulsa Doom lasts another couple weeks until I make it in again. Really curious about this beer.

"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

Re: Beers on tap
Here's DIPA that I'm drying to brew, when I get a chance. I've modified the hop schedule somewhat but kept the grain bill the same from the online version I found.
Rodeo Clown DIPA Clone (5 gal)
14.5 lbs. 2-Row Pale Malt
1.25 lbs. Munich
1.0 lbs. Victory
0.5 lbs. Crystal 75
0.5 lbs. Crystal 120
Hops
1 1/2 oz. Magnum 14%, 60 minutes
1 oz Chinook 13%, 30 minutes
1/2 oz. Amarillo 8%, 15 minutes
1/2 oz. Simcoe 13%, 15 minutes
1/2 oz. Citra 11%, 15 minutes
1/4 oz. Amarillo 8%, Flameout
1/4 oz. Simcoe 13%, Flameout
1/4 oz. Citra 11%, Flameout
1/2 oz. East Kent Goldings, Flameout
Dry-Hop: 1/2 oz. Citra, 1/2 oz. East Kent Goldings, 1/2 oz. Amarillo
EDIT: Might get beaten for this comment, but looking at it there may be too many hops in it!

Re: Beers on tap
This is what I'm looking for. and I wouldn't say too many hops haha. Look at the Belma IPA I brewed. That that 10 ounces in it. and tempted to dry hop it a 2nd time.EverwoodAveBrewShop wrote:Here's DIPA that I'm drying to brew, when I get a chance. I'll have to look at that! Thanks. I think the hop explosion is about to hit Stanley's taps.

As posted above, BCS is a great resource for recipe formulation/trying new styles
