Help a brewer out!

Post by brewing_al » Sun Jul 20, 2014 4:19 pm

Hey all! I am coming to you from the NB club, just wanted to share with all you good NS (and NB'ers here as well) folks a petition going around that the ANBL here in NB is trying to pull on new nano start ups. They are trying to force all new micro breweries to sell 100HL through them in bottle and kegs sales before they will be allowed to sell growlers at the brewery for off site consumption. As you all know in Nova Scotia, that is completely backwards to the way things work for new start ups your province.

This will badly hurt my friend Mitch who has dumped a lot of his own time and money into setting up his 1BBL system to do something he has dreamed of for a very long time. Which he did not invest in a bottling line, and based his business plan around growlers and tap listings in the local area. So I am reaching out to the brewing community for support on this issue, and asking if you could sign the petition created by one of our local hops farmers (Southan Farms) that has plans to deliver this message to the Premier on Tuesday.

Thanks everybody! :cheers2:

Yup, I'll talk with my social media guru, try to get it out as wide as possible.
At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the absolute letter. :wtf:

I signed already and got Kathleen too also. I'm not on FB so couldn't take it further on there.

Best of luck and good work! ...and welcome to the Brewnosers. Hope you stick around.

:cheers2:

Thanks everybody! Was talking with Mitch today, he is hoping for 500 sigs by Tuesday, and its close now! The ANBL president is a former Molson/Coors guy, effing lobbyists put in positions like that.

I'm about ready to relinquish my mod duties. It's become brutal to use the forum on v4. I don't know what's wrong, but I need to migrate back to v2....
