If you give me some I'll try it.

After the price increase on the -04 and -05, I thought I'd try it. I split a 10gal batch of Ordinary Bitter and did half with -05 and half with Windsor. It's still in the carboys but should be ready soon. I'll try to bring both to the next meeting.

I checked these tonight and found that the FG of the Windsor yeast was 1.017 and the US-05 was 1.011. This batch was brewed on Jun 7, so fermentation 'should' be complete. Seems the attenuation of the Windsor yeast is low. (the starting SG was 1.055)
At this point I can't really say if I prefer the taste of one over the other.

I just the keg I just finished was fermented with windsor and I found it to be really fruity when fermented at room temp. So much so that I don't think I'll use it again.
