Was thinking of using a product like this
http://www.permatex.com/products-2/prod ... ket-detail" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
to make a gasket for my conical, just wondering if anyone has used this or a similar product.
Thanks!

Re: Gasket Maker
That's what I thought. Now after several uses the original gasket on mine is sealing now. I figure it just needed to be worked in. I use a screwdriver in that ring bolt thing as a lever to tighten it. Also took some notches out of the arm so it doesn't hit the lid so much.
It still a bit wierd though... I'm not getting many bubbles in my blow off vessel but last two brews i got suckback when racking.

Re: Gasket Maker
Probably don't want to spend a ton, but you can buy custom gaskets, or even just a sheet of material in Burnside called ttl supply

I'm pretty sure that the red RTV would essentially glue the lid to the conical.

Re: Gasket Maker
I think I'll just have to grind out the arm a bit and give that a try, if that doesn't work I'll give a look at ttl supply, don't really want to glue the lid down, ha
Thanks guys! I get some bad ideas sitting on a boat during backshift
