Yeast Comparison Chart

Post by mthibodeau » Thu Sep 10, 2015 11:39 am

I started to put together a spreadsheet with a yeast comparison chart. I started with the Mr Malty WhiteLabs vs Wyeast chart, but it didnt have any dry yeasts listed, and some most people know already, like the us-02 is wlp001 is 1056 etc but the others you have to dig through a lot of different sites to find each one, so I have been compiling them as I go, and decided to share what I have so far.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... sp=sharing" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The sheet can be edited by all, so if you find another one feel free to add it to the chart
Kegged:

Fermenting: Fruit (havent decided yet) Lambic

Dave, interesting, so is the s-04 wlp007 or the 17? I read that it was a dry whitbread, hence posting it where I did because the Mr Malty had the 007 and 1098 (whitbread - dry) being the same. Maybe the 007 is the 1099 (Whitbread)

WLP017 is two strains of whitbread. Wlp007=wy1098 is the dry whitbread strain. Wy1099 is the less attenuative whitbread strain. Safale is rumoured to be a less attenuative whitbread which is usually said to be the same as wy1099.

I had always read s-04 being same as wlp002/wy1968?

I believe Danstar BRy-97 is same as WY1272.

I didn't change anything on the list...
