Grassy

Post by Broob » Mon Dec 07, 2015 10:08 pm

I've finally got what "grassy" tastes like. I was dry hopping a pale ale and didn't get around to bottling before I went away on vacation. So instead of a 3 day dry hop I got a 3 week dry hop (2 oz of Amarillo). Tastes like hay. Can this fade with aging or am I stuck with it?

Keg and I'm sure you will be fine. The beer will clear when cold and taste great. A 2 oz dry hop for that long will be fine. Shorter is better in my opinion but I've done it.

Gelatin may help with that.

So I let the beer sit and the grassy flavour is gone. Beer turned out really nice. Good example of the relax don't worry have a homebrew philosophy.
