Post by wortly » Tue Nov 16, 2010 9:46 am

Walkers here in Truro has been excellent for most things that I have needed so far for going electric, but I am heading into the city briefly today and was wondering if anyone knows where I can find:

# (Qty: 2) Silicone high temperature o-ring (McMaster-Carr part number: 9396K38) (1-3/16" ID x 1-7/16" OD x 1/8" width, AS568A Dash No. 217, Durometer hardness A70, FDA compliant, -65F to +450F)

# (Qty: 1) Food grade silicone adhesive/sealant (McMaster-Carr part number: 7545A471) (-75F to +400F, Food grade: Meets MIL-A-46106B, Group I, Type I, FDA compliant, USDA approved, NSF 51 certified)

# (Qty: 2) Stainless steel locknut 1" NPS (McMaster-Carr part number: 4464K586)

best place to try for the O-rings would be strictly hydraulics.

for the locknut... either fastenal or trans-world (try trans-world first)

I wouldn't expect anyone to stock the sealant... but there are plenty of places that can order it in for you.

PS: if you need stuff from McMaster, you can always order it through a place called Schooner Industrial.

Note: All of these are in Burnside industrial park.

IIRC, you can get food grade silicone sealant at electrical supply stores. I have a few tubes at home, I'll check the name in a few days for you.
At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the absolute letter. :wtf:
