Recommend a place to get local honey for mead
Anywhere off the top of your head to get good honey for mead making? I would prefer Nova Scotia honey. I noticed a place up in Wolfville, but I am not going up there for a while. Should have grabbed 20 pounds when I had the chance!

well... I know noble grape has smaller containers of un-pasturized NS honey for brewing... you can check with them.

I bought a 6kg tub at the Masstown market last fall - they had larger buckets too. I would think that most farmers markets would have some, but it might be getting late in the year now.

I asked Peter Duinker, who makes mead once a year (and hosts our annual mead night). His reply:
Bruce Stewart of NS-DNR Truro may be willing to sell honey for mead - Bruce supplies honey for my mead. There's also a honey vendor at the farmers' market.
