Mini-Fridge completely frozen

Post by dean2k » Fri Apr 08, 2016 8:32 pm

Somehow the temperature setting got knocked off to max coldness and the entire contents of my mini-fridge are now frozen solid. Luckily it was only one busted bottle, but a few cans and one keg are frozen solid. Not worried about the cans too much, but what about that 2-3 gallons of beer in the keg? Is it a write off?

Kegged beer will be fine, as will be any bottles cans that don't bust. Let them thaw and enjoy! :)

yeah, just make sure you let the beer settle after thawing to re-absorb any CO2 that's now at higher pressure in the headspace than normal.

Yeah, things may still need a few days to completely thaw out and settle. Had a foam party last night.
