Brewer's Friend vs BeerSmith

Hi folks,
Been brewing out of a journal & a lot of printed recipes with poorly written notes all over them. I've decided it's time to move to an online version to track my recipes. I've played with the trial versions of both brewers friend & beersmith, they seem to both have their advantages & disadvantages. So...what are your thoughts from a longer term use perspective?
Thanks for the advice.

Been using Beersmith for ages. I used brewersfriend in the beginning, but Beersmith was worth the $25 and haven't looked back.

Never used brewer's friend, but used a different free app. Beersmith is great and worth the price of both the desktop and app. Has everything you need for all forms of Brewing.

There's a bit of a learning curve to Beersmith, but once you figure it out it's by far the most useful and versatile brewing software available.

Beersmith seems to be consensus.
Any preference on PC (mac) VS mobile? Other than cost?
Especially, with respect to BIAB - just about to go AG and want to make the jump to Beersmith. Wondering which option to go with?

I would start with the desktop version. That way you can setup all your profiles the way you like them and they can be shared to the mobile app if you end up getting that. I've got both and love them.

Sounds good.
Cheers!

I only had the mobile version for a few years and then got the desktop version. To be honest I almost exclusively use the mobile version as it has everything I need.

I tend to build recipes on the desktop version and only use the mobile version for brew days, etc.

I'm pretty much the same. Desktop for the base recipes, equipment profiles, etc, and then the mobile for minor tweaks and brew day records.
