Temperature alarm

Post by Buccaneer » Tue May 10, 2016 8:49 am

Long story short, my temp controller spazzed out overnight, causing my freezer to run for hours and hours and, well, lots of exploding bottles. Something weird with the sensor wire, I think. It was reading 14C, but then I nudged it and it quickly dropped down to about 2C.

So now I'm in need of either a better temp controller or a temp alarm of some sort, or both.

I've done some searching for alarms, but everything I've seen so far doesn't really have the range I want, or includes monitors for all sorts of other things I don't need. Is this something that could be easily built? Any thoughts on dependable controllers?
