No more group orders from Gilbertson and Page

Just joined the forum in the hopes of getting in on a group buy. I used to have an account with Gilbertson and Page and would order a tonne or two of grain a year from them to keep the local NB brewers happy. I tried to start an order with them the other day but got this in reply:

Hello Cliff,

It’s great to hear from you… but things have changed quite a bit since your last order. We no longer handle bulk buys and there are several reasons behind our decision. It was not an easy one to make either.

We ask that the groups work closely with their shop/retailer and if that’s an issue, to ask the store to reach out to us so that we can try and make it work.

We reached out, or tried to, to each group in early 2015 to let them know about this change.

I don't know what prompted them to stop dealing with brew clubs - but it is a serious pain in the ass.

Hopefully there ar4e other suppliers that are more reasonable
