[Closed] Yeast Bay OBK Order
Obk is getting some vermont ale yeast back in stock on aug 20th. I'm placing an order with obk for Jimmy and myself. Does anyone want me to order some for them to reduce shipping? Right now I expect expedited S&H for the large order to be approx. $15.00. If we get the numbers probably in around $1.00-$1.50 a vial.
Editing to keep a tally.

I'll take 1
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

I'd give it a try, Keith. Put me down for one. I've never used Yeast Bay before. What's your experience been with them?Keith wrote:Obk is getting some vermont ale yeast back in stock on aug 20th. Will be my first time as well, but everyone goes nuts over this yeast and it's hard to get. Going to be watching the site for availability that day.Beaton1T wrote:I'd give it a try, Keith. Re: Vermont Ale yeast
Actually, could you put me down for a vial of the Funktown Pale Ale yeast instead of the Vermont Ale? Sorry to waffle about this, Keith.Keith wrote:Obk is getting some vermont ale yeast back in stock on aug 20th. I'm placing an order with obk for Jimmy and myself. Re: Vermont Ale yeast
-1 on the Vermont, +1 for a funktown. I'll be placing the order on the 20th and will expedite shipping to ensure the ice pack does it's job.Beaton1T wrote:Actually, could you put me down for a vial of the Funktown Pale Ale yeast instead of the Vermont Ale? both are past expiry date, are you ok with this? It's one of the reasons I'm getting the Wallonian is to try it.LiverDance wrote:Keith, I'll grab a wallonian farmhouse and a saison blend as well please.

i'm good with it. I'm assuming the saison blend would get the same $4 price although it's not listed.Keith wrote:both are past expiry date, are you ok with this? I'll check /w Patrick on the pricing. If it gets the same $4.00 pricing, I'll be getting one myself.

Re: Vermont Ale Yeast
I've also inquired with Patrick about a volume discount on the yeast since we are purchasing in bulk. I doubt it due to the popularity of the yeast, but worth a try.

Re: Vermont Ale Yeast
Updated your's Peter.
Peter and Brian, Not looking good for a discount on the expired Saison blend, do you want this? Also there won't be a group buy rate due to very little mark up on these products. However we can save on shipping.
I'll be finalizing the numbers on Tuesday, if there are any other requests, please let me know.

Re: Vermont Ale Yeast
I'm not willing to spend full price on an expired product so drop the saison blend for me.

Saisson has been out of stock for a few weeks. We tossed what was left in local pick up orders. Should be back in stock in a few days.

Re: Vermont Ale Yeast
I just added some pricing to the above as it's listed on the site. Expedited S&H is only a couple $$$ more. If we want these packed in ice it shows 75 cents more per vial.
Also does anyone want or need anything else?
