I'm in
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

Didn’t make it! Congrats bys!

This was the comp I worked the hardest on and it was the hardest style I’ve ever tried to brew. I had some boil off problems on the final batches brew day ended up with a beer that was just slightly too hop forward, bitter, and higher OG.

I’m anxious to get the papers back to see how that played.

Out of over 100 batches this was easily in my top ten.... but again definitely fell outside some of the parameters.

I didn't go through to the next round either but I definitely learned a lot, this was my first time making a proper lager. Looking forward to the gala

So I just noticed in the competition info sheet that the Top 4 finalists are supposed to bring some of their beer for sampling at the event, in the past how much to people bring? Not saying I'm going to make the finals but my lone keg is getting dangerously low and might have to bottle some to save just in case.
